Airport Transfer
Option # 1: CHARTER BUSSES from NUE Airport to Bayreuth
• The Bayreuth ALA2015-Team is currently negotiating airport transfer options with local charter bus companies for the two main travel days, June 2nd 2015 (Arrivals) and June 7th 2015 (Departures)
• The one-way-rate Nürnberg-Bayreuth will amount to 12 EUR/person.
• The trip will take approx. 1 hour each leg
• You will have the opportunity to reserve a seat in your ALA registration form.

Option # 2: PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION from NUE Airport to Bayreuth:
• You take the subway U2 from Nürnberg airport (NUE) to Nürnberg main station (Hauptbahnhof). From there you can catch a train to Bayreuth: Trains depart every hour and the train ride takes about 50-60 minutes (check www.bahn.de for timetables.
• Since Nürnberg and Bayreuth belong to one linked transportation system, you only have to buy one ticket for the whole trip from Nürnberg Airport to Bayreuth:
• If you are traveling alone, buy a single ticket for the entire VGA Area (10,50€) at the airport. It covers the whole trip from the airport to the main station in Nürnberg, plus the train ride to Bayreuth as well as the bus to the hotel or to campus, however, it is not a day-ticket.
• If you are two persons, it is more convenient to buy a „TagesTicket Plus“ (17,50€) which is good for 2 adults for the whole trip and is valid all day.

ALA Transportation
In the mornings of June 3-6, 2015 there will be 1 round of free shuttle bus transportation from the three ALA2015-Hotels (see http://www.ala2015.com/#/transport_01/)to the campus of the University of Bayreuth (exact schedule tbd) and back to the hotels n the late afternoon/early evening (making 1 interim stop at the Bayreuth City Hall where the evening program with the pre-ordered dinners and the BIGSAS Literature Festival is taking place) after the panel sessions have closed.
If you want to be more flexible (i.e. attend panels later in the day or leave the Bayreuth University campus earlier) you can use public transportation (Bus line #304 approx. every 10 minutes) by the Bayreuth Transportation Authorities BVB where you can purchase your own tickets at the following rates:
1,80 € for Adult Single Trip
6,20 € for Adult 4-Single Trips
3,80 € for Adult Day Pass
You can purchase the tickets directly from the bus driver.
